Single Bb Horn
The Single Bb Horn is a great choice for a beginner. The horn length is smaller, around 9 total ft, and allows higher notes to be played with less work. This is because the lower partials, which are easier, will produce higher tones to produce the same pitch as the large Single F Horn. If your horn is a Single Bb Horn and has a 4th lever, it is NOT a trigger. This is only used to compensate while using a special effect called stopping. Use the fingering chart for the Bb Horn side only. This horn acts like the Double Horn with the trigger down. Click on the diagram to zoom in. |
